Rhyner & Benetics: Site management with hands-on experience – and digital clarity

- Industry: Construction Management
- Employees: 4, including 3 site managers
- Location: Schwändi, Glarus, Switzerland
The challenge: Notes, emails, phone calls – how do you keep track of everything?
Remo Schweizer started out as a carpenter – today, he’s a dedicated site manager. Together with his colleagues at Rhyner, he is responsible for the successful implementation of demanding construction projects.
In the early project phase – especially during tenders – the work is mainly administrative and office-based. Once construction begins, the split shifts to around 60% office time and 40% on-site presence. It’s a demanding mix that requires precise organization and clear communication.
But that’s exactly where the challenge lies: information comes in from every direction – email, phone, WhatsApp, or directly on site. “These days, you’re getting updates from everywhere – it’s worth a lot to have it all in one place,” says Remo. That’s exactly where Benetics comes in.

Digital support: Simple, fast, and direct
Remo first heard about Benetics through a project manager at Bernauer AG – a company that has been working successfully with the tool for some time. His first impression: “It’s amazingly simple – exactly what was missing.”
Compared to custom Excel templates or bloated tools, Benetics delivers what site managers like Remo really need: clear structure without the clutter.
Rhyner also uses OneNote as their “digital construction bible.” The two tools work perfectly together: while OneNote covers plans, schedules, and project timelines, Benetics handles the operational side – from site notes to task tracking and defect management.
Remo’s top 3 benefits
- Capturing tasks easily: Whether by typing or speaking – tasks can be recorded on the fly. “The goal is to capture as much important info as possible in a short time,” says Remo.
- Site notes and daily logs in seconds: After a meeting with the architect, Remo simply records a quick voice note, checks it, and sends it off – no paperwork, no delay.
- Saving time, staying on top of things: The biggest gain? Clarity. “Benetics is a huge help when it comes to staying on top of everything – especially with so many people involved on different sites.”
Real-life example: Speak, don’t type

A typical day: Remo has just wrapped up a quick coordination meeting with a subcontractor. In the past, he would’ve had to sit down later and type out notes. Today, he simply opens the Benetics app on-site and speaks:
“Tuesday, 10 a.m., meeting with Huber Bau. Issue: delay in interior plastering. Agreed solution: extra shift on Saturday. Weather looks dry, indoor areas are ready. Awaiting final go-ahead from the client, which I’ll follow up on today.”
He adds a photo of the site progress – done. The note is automatically structured and saved. It saves time, prevents things from slipping through the cracks, and simplifies the follow-up in the office.
Conclusion: Simple, thoughtful, just right
«Ich hab schon viele Tools angeschaut – aber Benetics ist das erste, bei dem ich wirklich denke: Damit kann ich arbeiten», sagt Remo. «Für uns ist die einfache, durchdachte Lösung genau richtig – weil sie Bauleitung nicht verkompliziert, sondern enorm erleichtert.»
