Even before Benetics, Kuhn Ltd. operated in a highly structured way. Tasks were carefully recorded on paper. However, ensuring the right information reached the right person on time was an ongoing challenge, especially with the simultaneous management of multiple construction sites. Paper plans also proved to be a recurring issue: “Unfortunately, it happened now and then that a technician arrived at a construction site without a plan – making it impossible to work effectively,” says Marc Burkhard, Managing Director of Kuhn Ltd. There were many reasons for this: needing to rush out of the office quickly, or a plan not being placed where it was supposed to be.

Implementation and Successes with Benetics

Since implementing Benetics, many day-to-day processes have been simplified. Benetics has become a fixture on all 15 of the company’s construction sites, where technicians use the app daily. “Benetics is my task list. I always have an overview of what has been done or still needs to be done on each site,” says Urs Bolliger, lead technician at Kuhn Ltd. Other team members can quickly check for themselves what needs doing – without many phone inquiries. The entire team now works more flexibly: “If someone is unavailable, another can step in without any issues – as everyone can see which tasks are pending or approved on the digital plans in the app.”

From an operational perspective, Marc also appreciates that on-site tasks can be documented instantly with Benetics. “In the past, we used reporting pads and added phone photos later at the office. It was cumbersome and carried the risk of losing information. Now, anyone can take a photo on-site and add a short description right in the app. Everything is centralized for billing purposes.”

Neither Marc nor Urs can say exactly how much time Benetics saves their team: “But that’s not the point for us. For us, Benetics is simply practical.”
